Mego was known in the 1970s for their line of 8" action figures of Super-Heroes, Monsters, Star Trek, Planet of the Apes, and many other lines. They also produced 12" figures and (after the Kenner Star Wars line came out) a smaller line, too. There were accessories available, too!
Captain Action was an action figure manufactured by Ideal Toys in the 1960s. The gimmick with the good Captain was that you could buy disguises to change him into all sorts of comics characters... including (obviously) Captain America!
Welcome, one and all, to the Captain Ameriblog, where I'll feature, every single day, a photo or scan of something Captain America related! I figure, while we're waiting for the inevitable return of Steve Rogers (and perhaps even beyond that), why not provide something Cap-related to get us through?
And the first item, as you can see, is Jack Kirby's artwork for the cover of Captain America 207!
I have been a Navy journalist, word processor, graphic designer, medical assisting student, cook, and truck driver, and am currently an eBay seller as well as an employee at a big retail store. I have been and always will be into comics, sf, tv, cartoons, monsters, oldies rock, and lots of other stuff.
